RENNIE Org.
Rooted in Justice. Focused on Change.
Who We Are.
RENNIE Org. exists to dismantle the systemic barriers that keep people unhoused — and to ensure no one is left out of the conversation, or the solution.
We are a nonprofit-pending organization that works at the intersection of advocacy, education, and collaborative systems change. While homelessness is often treated as a crisis of individual choices, we know the truth is far more complex. Housing insecurity stems from broken systems — from policy gaps to healthcare inaccessibility to workforce discrimination — and those systems fail some people more than others.
What We Do.
Our mission is to reduce systemic barriers that prevent unhoused individuals from accessing shelter, healthcare, safety, and opportunity — with a focus on elevating the voices and needs of those most often excluded. Envision a society where housing is a human right, support systems are equitable, and every person has the resources, dignity, and opportunity to thrive.
Advocate for policy change that protects and prioritizes the most vulnerable
Educate communities to shift mindsets and spark action
Partner with local organizations to amplify their efforts and build sustainable, equitable solutions
We do this not as a top-down institution, but as a collaborative force — working with, not for, the people closest to the problem.
Our Roots.
RENNIE Org. is more than a name — it’s a reminder of the people and stories that shape our purpose. We were founded in honor of the individuals we’ve served, who showed us the power of resilience, and the urgent need for change. Our organization started under the identity of “You Are Lovd”, inspired by the work of our Founder who individually pursued homeless outreach to ensure those experiencing homelessness felt loved and valued in a society that overlooks them. As we’ve expanded, our name has changed drawing inspiration from some of the greatest activists of our time that have fought for equal rights. Today, we’re proud to serve the greater New York City area beyond homeless outreach with extensions into local policy and national advocacy.
